The Cottage on Rose Petal Lane

This cottage retreat is located in the quiet neighborhood of Sunnyslope in South Salem.  This Craftsman style and freshly renovated cottage offers bright comfortable, fully furnished one-bedroom, one-bathroom, one-living area plus kitchenette and side yards.

You will experience solitude on the grounds on the quiet end-of-the-cul-de-sac half-acre lot.

The downstairs kitchenette includes a brand-new stacking washer and dryer behind a noise dampening cabinet door, a new microwave oven, granite counter top, in-sink disposal, new stainless steel refrigerator and plenty of space for the included handcrafted pottery and dinnerware, bowls, cups, glasses, flatware, and other kitchen amenities such as convection oven, toaster, mixer, coffee maker, and blender.

The downstairs is heated by two in-wall units and the upstairs by a combination heater and air conditioner (for the 2-3 weeks each year that it is too warm to go without an a/c).  The cottage has all new floors and new paint and new insulation throughout.  The access to the cottage is via an electronic security coded door.

The bathroom has a large "sit down" shower with new tile work and of course your own private hot water heater, new toilet, and a granite countertop vanity as well as a clothes closet.   The bathroom includes towels and blow dryer.  The bedroom includes a King size bed, sheets, pillows, and bedspreads.   There is a large closet downstairs, as well as a large under-the-stairs finished closet for outdoor storage.

The views to the East into the cul-de-sac include a gated and fenced front yard with roses.  The views to the West include an overview of a small valley with a very private "sun yard".   Yard maintenance is performed by a contractor weekly and included.

The cottage also includes water, weekly trash/recycle pickup, parking on premises in front of the Cottage, garden chairs, and gas BBQ grill.

This is a pet-free, non-smoking, fully furnished, and quiet living space.  The cottage does have wifi access.  It is a perfect retreat for interim, transition, and short-term living situations.

It is the kind of place we would want to stay, if we were looking for a quiet, tranquil, peaceful, easily accessible but private location, close to restaurants, services, and downtown, without the traffic, hassles, or incidental distractions often associated with places of such convenience.
